Orchid Care Guide
Keep your indoor orchid thriving in its shared container.
Your arrangement includes an orchid placed at the center, surrounded by accent plants. Because orchids have different moisture needs, a little extra attention will help them stay healthy and continue blooming beautifully.
The arrangement comes with decorative moss atop its roots.
Before watering, gently remove or lift the moss so moisture can reach the orchid’s root system directly. You may place the moss back after watering for aesthetics.
Remove the Moss Before Watering
The surrounding plants in the big container require different watering levels.
To avoid overwatering the orchid:
Do not water the entire container as one unit.
Water the orchid alone, directly at its root area.
How much to water:
Orchid: Give 1–2 tablespoons of water once a week. Orchids prefer to dry slightly between waterings — avoid soaking or pooling water.
Accent plants: Give approximately 4 ounces of water, distributed around the outer rim, or enough to lightly moisten the soil.
Water the Orchid Separately
The arrangement will thrive in bright, indirect light.
Avoid direct sun, which can burn the leaves.
Ideal locations: near east- or north-facing windows.
Light Requirements
Keep your orchid in stable indoor conditions:
Preferred temperature: 65–75°F
Avoid cold drafts or heating vents
Maintain gentle airflow (not strong winds)
Temperature & Environment
Once your orchid finishes its blooming cycle:
Trim the flower spike just above a healthy node
New blooms may grow from that point, or the plant will produce a new spike over time
